Office help needed
Do you have an hour to spare during the week? We are looking for a parent volunteer who can answer the phones and take messages in the office from 9-10 am every Monday. Marker Recycling in the Library
Students of Summit Elementary, please recycle your dried out markers (any color, any brand) in the plastic marker recycle can in the library. Your markers help the brand Crayola make more colorful markers for you and other kids. When you have used markers put them in a ziploc bag and bring them to school. Is your daughter interested in learning about Girl Scouts? Girl Scouts are open to girls in Kindergarten through grade 12. Cub Scouts at Summitt
Is your son in first- through fifth- grade and interested in camping and hiking outdoors, pinewood derbies, and doing fun activities? It’s never too late to join the PTA!  It is $12.50 and will help our school maintain a strong PTA presence. New for the 2016-17 school year, the Summitt PTA invites your family to become an “Eagle Family” Sponsor by donating $100 to help underwrite our PTA fundraising programs. Girls on the Run
Summitt’s Girls on the Run Season will start in late September. Look for registration info after Labor Day. Open to Grades 3-5. Limited space available. Training will take place Mondays and Wednesdays after school until 4:15 pm. Feel free to browse at www.gotraustin.org

Save the Date for Eagle Fest 2016
This year’s fall carnival, Eagle Fest, will be held on Saturday, October 22 from 3-6pm. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate this year’s event. If you are interested in volunteering (large and small roles are available) please contact Lisa Fischer at [email protected].

Anderson Spirit Fest
All students in schools that feed into the Anderson Vertical Team (that includes Summitt) are invited to the annual Spirit Fest on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 4-7 p.m. There will be booths, food and games.
