Field Days on Thursday and Friday

One of our most fun days of the year is coming up – Field Day! It will be done on 2 days, and for the first time in a few years we will have great weather! NOTE: There will be no Assembly in the mornings on Thursday and Friday.

Grades K-2 Field Day is on Thursday, April 27th from 8-10:30 am. Grades 3-5 Field Day will take place on Friday, April 28th from 8:15-10:30 am.

If you are able to volunteer to help run a station the morning of Friday, April 28th, please email Michelle at [email protected]

We are also collecting donations of water bottles, juice boxes and chalk for Captain America’s Chill & Chalk station so that students can get a refreshment in the morning without having to bring money with them to the station time. Please drop them off at the office.

Encourage your students to wear their favorite Super Hero accessories and outfits along with appropriate footwear to run and play in. (Please NO masks or props)

Concession stand

The PTA will have a Concession Stand during the field day afternoon movie. We will be selling the following items for 25 cents a piece: goldfish crackers, cookies, chips, rice krispy bars, fruit snacks, and juice boxes. Students can bring money on the day of their field day.

Crush It Cones will also be available during the afternoon movie. Snowcones will be sold for $2, $4, and $5. We are looking a few volunteers to help with the concession stand. Please sign up at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f48a8ae2aabf49-field if you are interested.

Why we do this

This is a fundraiser to pay the salary for our technology teacher, Barbara Neill. Austin ISD does not pay for a technology teacher at our campus and we want to make sure our students know basic computer skills in order for them to succeed. Click here to read about how she got started teaching technology and what your children are learning – learn computer skills, robotics, coding and even create MineCraft projects.

The spring pictures have come home to your student(s). Parents now have the opportunity to purchase from the package and customize their purchase to meet their needs. There is no obligation to purchase and any unselected prints can be returned to the school. Students returning packages/money will receive a responsibility pencil from the teacher.

Please return full picture package (if you do not wish to buy), partial picture purchase or full package purchase (with money enclosed) by Friday, May 5, 2017.
