Lost and Found
It’s that time of the year when it’s cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. That means kids shed their jackets and forget to pick them up. Please take a look in the lost and found for your student’s possessions, it is full of coats, clothing, backpacks, lunch boxes and water bottles. The lost and found is located to the right of the front doors, in the music hallway, after you enter the building. All items not claimed by Thursday, March 29, 2018 will be donated.

Spring Fling tickets on sale soon!
Mark your Calendar – Spring Fling & Silent Auction on May 5

Calling all Volunteers – Spring Fling Volunteer Meeting (tonight, 3/28 at 8 p.m.)
If you enjoy party planning, decorating for events and hosting events – join us tonight, March 28 at 8 p.m. at the Silver Grill to learn about ways that you can help us prepare for the Spring Fling and Silent Auction on May 5.  If you can’t come to the meeting, but are still interested in volunteering, email us at [email protected].

Got the time?
This section features volunteer opportunities with specific time estimates. Check here each week to see what’s needed. That way, if you “got the time,” you can help out regularly for 5 to 15 minutes, or for a couple hours on a one-time project.

  • If you have an hour or two today, Wednesday, March 28, or tomorrow, Thursday, March 29, please help stuff information packets for incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten families who will be attending the Kindergarten Roundup next week. If you’re able to help, please let Shana in the front office know.
  • If you’ve planning to have lunch with your child this next week, please consider being a door opener. You do not have to sit next to the door or open it up in person. You will be given a phone to answer the front doorbell and then buzz in the visitors. If you’re able to help, please speak with Shana or Elizabeth in the front office.

Open PTA committee positions (updated)
Many hands make for a lighter load! We need you to help us make Summitt the best place for our students. These are positions for next school year. Many of these positions are ideal for those who work during the day because it mostly involves emails, and almost all only require your help for a couple of months during the school year. We are looking for volunteers for the following open PTA committee positions:

  • T-shirt – pick out style and order shirts for the upcoming year; most work is in the summer

  • Spring Fling co-chair – help coordinate spring fundraiser; some work in the fall, most in the spring

  • Spring Fling Committee Member – be part of the team that helps plan Spring Fling; most work in the spring

  • Family Sponsors – Help families know how to become a family sponsor and receive/process donations; most work in the fall

  • Birthday Marquee – Keep track of birthdays that need to posted on the marquee and receive/process payments; most work in the fall

  • Family Nights – schedule monthly family nights (ie. Dinner at Chipotle); does not have to be at event; most work in the summer/early fall

  • Website – help the Communications Team troubleshoot and support the Summitt website as needed. This is more back-end work (design, coding, “why is the site crashing?!” etc.) and knowledge of Word Press or something similar is very helpful.

If you are able and willing to help, email our PTA president Nicole Erickson at [email protected]. Not sure which position will match your schedule or interests? Email anyway! We will happily help you find a role that fits your abilities and availability.

Go to http://mobilityblueprint.net/, click on Go to Map, and you can either register or just sign in as a guest by putting in your Zip Code.
