Easter Seals Donation Drive this week
There is a donation drive this week for Easter Seals. Donations can be dropped off until Friday in The Great Hall during school hours. A truck will be at Summit on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 10 am-noon so you can drop off items then, too. Easter Seals will pay Summitt PTA 20 cents per pound for soft items like clothes, shoes, clothing accessories, sheets, small rugs and similar items. They also pay 5 cents per pound for small household items such as dishes, pots, pans, small kitchen appliances or any other small items used in a home. Community Night at Chipotle
Summitt Family Community Night will be on Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 4-8 pm at the Chipotle off McNeil/Parmer Lane. Let them know you’re with Summitt and a portion of the sale goes to Summitt.

Pictures for Yearbook
We need your pictures! If you took pictures of students at any event at Summitt, the yearbook team would like to put them in the yearbook! Please send full size pictures with event name, student grade (and teacher if possible) to [email protected]. We prefer shots of students in groups (2-6 students) doing activities over pictures of 1 student.

If you have not been to the cafeteria, we have a new mural! Thanks to David Edmonson, Matt Stuart and Brady McBride for donating their time and talent during Winter Break to create the special artwork.

AISD and Community Events:
Art class with Mr. Jones
ArtAfter with Mr. Jones will start next week. The Monday session from Jan. 14-Feb. 18 focuses on 2-D drawings and paintings. The Tuesday session on Jan. 15-Feb. 19 focuses on 3-D sculptures. Class time is 3-4 pm and each session is $90. This is open to students in grades 3-5. Contact Gordon Jones [email protected] for more information.
Beauty and the Beast Musical
Anderson Fine Arts is proud to present the Broadway musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, January 24th-27th. “Be Our Guest” for an evening of enchantment and music where furniture sings and flatware dances in this timeless classic that will delight all ages. Show dates:

Paperpalooza – Organization workshop
Wanna get your tax papers organized this year without filing for an extension? (yup) What if you could get away from your family for a long Saturday and a short Sunday and go through your papers in peace and uninterrupted time? Fulmore Middle School Open House
Fulmore is happy to remind your students and families that our annual Open House, the Evening of Wonder is January 15th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The evening is not only a great way for prospective families to experience our campus, but to also see course offerings for the 2019-2020 school year as well. We will start the evening in our cafeteria for a short welcome, then families are free to visit classrooms, enjoy exhibits and student performances. We will also have a pretty amazing selfie station with a special guest who should light up our evening!
Magnet admissions testing is also in January, families can refer to the link included for information. Our testing days are:

Kealing Magnet Program Testing and Essay
Here’s a reminder that we will be offering our 1st Admissions test next Saturday: Jan 12th for students interested in applying to the Magnet program. There are plenty of spots for students applying to secure a shadowing spot if interested. Students need to send us their essay and they will receive a link to sign up.
