Boosterthon Fun Run
We have a brand new fundraiser this year and it reaches beyond the immediate Summitt family. This year’s main fundraiser is the Summitt Fun Run! It’ll be a 9-day program where we kick off with a Pep Rally on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Families and friends will have time to get pledges for every lap your student runs, and then we’ll celebrate at the Fun Run on Thursday, April 21, 2016.
With our big goal to raise funds for tutoring, technology and field trips, we asked the Fun Run experts at Boosterthon to power our Fun Run and make it more profitable, easier, and fun. Students will also experience an amazing character theme, Big World Recess! It’s a global fitness theme all about playing with character. Donations will go toward tutoring, technology and field trips and to the entire 9-day experience. So please help our school by reaching out to sponsors. Also, all families are invited to come out and cheer on your student at the Fun Run! Thank you for your support! Check out this video to learn more about Bootherthon’s Fun Run:

You may drop these items off at the Computer Lab. If you’re not sure if we can use it, bring it by and we will decide. Please keep items to small sized, clean, and safe for children. Thanks!

Changes for 5th graders going to Murchison
Murchison Middle School has added more options for the CTE/IB Foundations classes. Originally, students would have to take an IB Foundations class for one semester and a CTE class the other semester. The CTE classes were Flight & Space or Energy & Environment. There are now additional options on the list of CTE classes – theater, choir or art. If your child wants to change their course to any one of the added classes, please fill out this form and return it to the Summitt counselors by Friday, April 1.
