Soaring Skyward is a field day where students learn all the many ways to soar. In previous years, Summitt students enjoyed visits from police helicopters, a hot air balloon, launching rockets and more! The next Soaring Skyward day will be held Friday, October 14, 2016. Parents are encouraged to join your student and/or volunteer during this day of learning.

In memory of First Grade Teacher Ceci Noyola, Summitt Elementary dedicated a “Great Hall of Flight” to commemorate Mrs. Noyola’s love for Soaring Skyward Day on April 10, 2014. In past years, it was her wish that each grade level have a model representing their field of study displayed in the Great Hall.

Fields of study:
Pre-K = Bubbles
Kindergarten = Kites
First Grade = Hot Air Balloons
Second Grade = Airplanes
Third Grade = Rockets
Fourth Grade = Gliders
Fifth Grade = Helicopters

If you would like to make a donation to this memorial, please send your check/cash to your child’s teacher in an envelope marked “Ceci Noyola Memorial”. Thank you for your support.
