If you did not request a device, you still have time to request one. I will submit the request and you will be able to pick up a Chromebook at Anderson High School within 24 hours. |PLEASE Register Your Child Today for the 2020-21 School Year|
New and Returning Students need to register ASAP
EVEN if you are just UNSURE…. Please, please register as soon as possible to help prevent beginning of the year and mid-year staffing changes and allow Summitt to get the most resources possible! Visit the Austin ISD Parent Cloud (https://my.austinisd.org) to register your child for the 2020-2021 academic year.
If you are unsure of your next year options and things change your child will simply be automatically dropped after they are “no shows” in August. No action is required by you. This allows for our school to secure our teachers for the next year and it is always better to over plan than under! Thank you!

|Summitt Families in Need|
Summitt Families: If you find yourself struggling to afford groceries over the summer break, here are two options. 1. Contact Amanda Greene at firstname.lastname@example.org or Laura Thomson at email@example.com . The Summitt community has HEB gift cards available to help. 2. Please dial 211 to hear local resources, including food distribution events. AISD Food Services is hosting 2 more emergency distribution events:
Thursday, May 21 Del Valle High School 5201 Ross Road, Del Valle 1pm-4pm
Thursday, May 28 Toney Burger Stadium 3200 Jones Road 9am-12pm
Please note all food distribution sites are closed on Memorial Day, Monday May 25. So to provide food for the long weekend, children and caregivers will receive two breakfast and two lunch meals on Thurs, May 21 and Fri, May 22. We recommend families bring bags to get their food home safely.
Other Food Resources:
1) The North Austin YMCA is offering free 20-lb Boxes of Fruits & Vegetables: Free fresh produce beginning Tuesday, May 19, at the North Austin and East Communities YMCAs. Area residents can receive 20-pound boxes of fruits and vegetables via touchless drive-through or walk-up. The weekly program will run each Tuesday through August. Distribution at the North Austin YMCA (1000 W. Rundberg Ln.) is on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. and will continue on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Drivers are asked to enter the parking lot from Mearns Meadow Drive.
2) Anderson HS continues to be an AISD curbsite meal pickup Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. On Fridays, families may receive six meals per child under the age of 19 (a breakfast and a lunch for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
3) As of May 19th, Parents/Caregivers will also be provided meals. See details on the AISD website (https://www.austinisd.org/covid19/meals).
