From Kimberlee Guerrero, Counselor
This is to regretfully let you all know that I have resigned from my position as the school counselor at Summitt Elementary. I have been offered a full time position in Dripping Springs ISD where my I will start on February 18, 2019. I will miss all of you and your wonderful children but look forward to what this new adventure will have in store for my family.  Dripping Springs is home for me so this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up especially when thinking about my sweet family. As sad as I am to leave, I am truly thankful that this door has opened in a BIG, FAST way. I have enjoyed my time at Summitt Elementary so much. I have to say this school has some of the sweetest kids I have ever worked with, and it’s full of the best staff you could ever imagine. Your children have all touched my heart greatly and I regret that I must leave them. I have appreciated working with each one of you and thank you for your time and effort.
– Kimberlee Guerrero, Summitt Elementary School Counselor

Explore UT’s Volleyball Playday with Summitt’s 5th Graders!
For the past 11 years, 5th graders from Summitt Elementary have been participating in Explore UT’s Volleyball Playday.  This year it will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 8:20 to 10:30 at the University of Texas Rec Sports Center.   Both 5th grade teams will play 3 matches against other Austin ISD schools.  They will also get to participate in a 35 minute volleyball clinic with the Women’s Volleyball Team and Men’s club team at the University of Texas.  We still have 5 spots available, so come by our office and grab a permission form if your student is interested in playing!

Students who would like to participate need to be able to attend after school practice February 19th, 20th, 25th and 27th from 3-3:45 pm in the Summitt gym before the playday.  Parents must be able to provide transportation to and from the UT Recreation Center on the morning of the playday.
