Coffee with Principal Friede on Friday
Come get acquainted with our awesome new principal, Mrs. Friede! Join us this Friday, Aug. 31 in the library at 7:45 am for our first monthly Coffee with the Principal. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
Got the time?
This section features volunteer opportunities with specific time estimates. Check here each week to see what’s needed. That way, if you “got the time,” you can help out regularly for 5 to 15 minutes, or for a couple hours on a one-time project.
If you are free 10:30 am to 11:30 am any day during the week, please consider helping out in the cafeteria. Pre-K and Kinder classes are still getting used to their lunchtime routines and need a little extra help.
If you have anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour, please stop by the teacher workroom to see who needs help. Several teachers have requests for laminating, cutting, and die-cutting. We need volunteers to help full those requests. Contact Karen Reyna (email@example.com) with questions.
Community Night at Jason’s Deli
Come out to Jason’s Deli (Arboretum location) on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 5-8 pm and enjoy dinner with other Summitt families. Just tell them you’re with Summitt and a portion of the sales benefit the PTA.
Informational Meetings for Homeroom Parents
If you signed up to be a homeroom parent for your child’s classroom (or are considering it), please come to one of the informational meetings listed below. You only need to attend one of the meetings; they will cover the same content. Meetings will run 30-45 minutes. For those who cannot attend one of these sessions, there will be additional meetings scheduled after Back to School Night.
Wednesday, September 5, 7:45 am, Summitt Library
Monday, September 10, 7:30 pm (following PTA General Meeting), Summitt Library
If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Summitt is looking for volunteers who would be willing to do a 5-10 minute presentation about their career during morning assembly time. We would like to have career talk Tuesdays once or twice a month to expose all of our eagles to some of the many possibilities that exist. If you would be willing to come to morning assembly one Tuesday morning for 5 minutes or so and present, please email Courtney Cardosa at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to trying to schedule as many careers as possible. Thanks in advance.
