Message from Mrs. Comsudi Thank you to all of the awesome Summitt families that came out to our Family Fiesta Night. Mrs. Richey, thanks for coming up with idea to team up with Book Fair! We had a great turnout and it was a beautiful evening to spend with our families. I know my little boy had a blast and it was so great to see past, present, and future Summitt students!

I would also like to say a huge thank you to Concentra Healthcare, Dr. Sheneaka Jackson, My Fit Foods, YES! Fitness and Youth Sports, Anderson High School wrestling team and my husband for running the lacrosse demo! And thanks to Tina Ross for leading our Zumba class! A big thanks also goes out to the 5th grade wellness kiddos and HEB at North Mopac and Parmer for donating the door prizes for students and staff members!

5th grade news There will be a lot of events for 5th graders next week. Click here for information on the 5th grade celebration, dance and science blow-out.

– Matador Days at Murchison for incoming 6th graders is Thursday, August 21 at 8:30-10am and 5:30-7pm.

– Fifth grade parents: Want to get in on the ground floor at Murchison Middle School? Consider volunteering! It’s a great way to get to know other students, teachers, and just get a feel for our awesome middle school.

Might we suggest the Murchison Library? Library volunteers offer much needed assistance to the librarian during the busy lunch hour as well as after school. Work one day a week, every other week, or share a shift with a friend and come in once a month. Options available! We could also use your help with book fair in the spring. And let’s be honest here – what’s better than kids and books?? For more information contact Nancy Barton at
